Definition:
I wish to introduce my site to you by defining the phrase Perpetual Paradise. Paradise is an ideal of a pleasurable existence and it is dualistic nature in that it is both a state of mind and a state of fulfillment. The definition of pleasurable existence and the means toward it’s fulfillment can only be left to the individual. Perpetual means to be continued on and on. Perpetual Paradise would be an ongoing state of mind and fulfillment. Welcome to my homepage, a small part of my perpetual paradise.
Beginnings:
Even in the darkest of times, I have always thought of my life in a positive aspect because no matter how bad things seem to have gotten, they could always have been worse. One evening, on a lark, I checked out the availability of this domain. It was available and so I just had to register it. So, what to do with it? First I ran just jokes.
Currently:
Currently, I am pretending to be a Webmaster (Yes, I do have an income on which to pay taxes, taxes, and more taxes), but I am without “enough business”. I have my regular clients, whom I appreciate for both their trust and their money. I may have to go back to “Corporate America”, but will put off as long as possible – who knows, maybe I’ll actually to the required sales part of my business.
11/09/2005 It is a very sad day around here, our youngest cat Krod died this afternoon. He was only 10 years 3 months. My wife and I are going to miss that pestering lover-boy.
If you have been to this site more than once, you will have noticed that the theme keeps changing. I am sorry, but I cannot make up my mind. The joke site portion is so bleeping large that I won’t consider anything but Frontpage to handle the navigational system. I suppose I could just kill the Frontpage theme and just do 1 css – ugh converting a Frontpage style sheet. Or do I need to do a conversion? Need to think about that a bit. Just creating more work. (At this point I am supposed to say, “And just how can I make that pay me for my time”.<grin>) For the moment, at least, this will be the site designed in purples, I like that color and I really can’t use it on any “professional” site. Now that this site is purpled, I had best go to my “professional” hosting site and redo the css theme into something more professional. Another revision: Got tired of how Frontpaage interacts with the server, in the context of having a sub-domain, and how a sub-domain page cannot get published without publishing everything. (Can’t even “copy” a file.) So I deleted the joke portion out of Frontpage’s world and published it seperately. Copied most of the server files back to the “new web” and, by jove, I didn’t have to redo the “navigation system”. I guessed correctly and didn’t have to rebuild a 600+ page site. [ Okay Scott VanSteenwyk, this time "Better Lucky than Good" worked out.]
